 Emailing
We understand how important this can be for you and what a difference this can make to your working procedures.
As you would expect, you can send communications by email directly from wherever an email address appears within the system, namely, from a Case, from a Contact or from a Responsible Person.
In fact any active hyperlink will invoke its destination which could also be a website or even a link to the official record.
We have also written a sophisticated and intelligent add-on for you to install if you use Microsoft Outlook.
The add-on is free, and works by scanning every email as it arrives in your Inbox or Sent Items.
It can automatically insert emails into fileye on the correct Case. The emails then feature in the Document Storage area (see Document Storage to the right).
You are also able to manually assign any email to a fileye Case by using the simple add-on search critera (which, to assist with familiarization, matches the search criteria you will find within fileye).

 Document Storage
The electronic document database offers you the chance to create a full or partial electronic version of your physical files.
Outgoing correspondence created via the system is automatically stored against the case and it is then your decision as to whether to scan in your incoming post.
We have even written a free add-on you can install for Microsoft Outlook which can automatically track incoming and outgoing emails and store them against the relevant fileye Case.
Letters and forms can be created and populated with system data, reducing the possibility of errors.
The database will accommodate all picture formats in addition to sound and video media clips. As well as being useful for the obvious patent drawings, trade mark logos and designs, this can be especially useful if you wish to attach digital audio dictation, product labels, branding guidelines, video evidence, advertising material, product presentations and corporate videos or even recorded web meeting content.
An on screen list of all entries against a case can be easily sorted by a comprehensive set of criteria to assist you in accessing the item you are looking for as quickly as possible.
